[ December 6th, 2007 ] This is my first update to my news section since, well, July 12th, 2006 (obviously) and it's definitely NOT because there hasn't been anything going on. Quite the contrary. Since then, I've become the Art Director for an internet marketing agency called eVisibility, completed projects for hundreds of new companies including making a video game for McDonald's, (Yeah, I know, the devil) and have taken on the form recently of a budding photographer. I continue to work freelance for Clear Channel, (Yeah, I know. Again.) and I'm still the lead designer for apb. So.... no, I have not fallen off the face of the earth. I'm going to try and update this sucker a little more often from now on and hopefully will be able to finish my new site design one of these days. I'm not sure if anyone visits my site anymore, but those of you who may will soon find plenty of new art to look at. I hope you like it, and thanks for all your wonderful support. It's truly a blessing.

-Tyler

[ July 12th, 2006 ] The stage backdrop I created for Rock 1053's Ozzfest Lounge turned out to be a huge success. I'd like to thank Jay Isbell for the opportunity.

Here's the design I created for the 8 3'x15' banners:

[ June 5th, 2006 ] I'd like to thank everyone who came out to support for my pastel exhibit on Thursday. Special thanks go out to Teevan McManus for organizing the event, Ron Chapman and everyone at Tent City for putting on such a great show, and all the people who came out. It was great to speak with most of you and it was really nice to see some old friends. I've included some pictures from the evening below.

[ Febuary 15th, 2006 ] I have several new pastel pieces on the way for my pastel exhibit June 1st. The show will be at Tent City in Coronado. More info to come.

[ Febuary 6th, 2006 ] The MAGIC Convention was a huge success for the company Buckle Down who presented about twenty five of my new illustrations on their full color buckles. Speaking with them after the show it appears they're totally swamped with orders so a big congratulations are in order. Good job guys.

While I was in Las Vegas one of my pastel paintings sold back here in San Diego. The Oregon Coastline now has a new home. I'm working on some new pastels as I write this as well as some ambitious new works for the clothing company apb.

[ January 4th, 2006 ]
I've posted a new Atticus tshirt design in the concepts section of the site. Next week I'll be starting the largest pastel piece I've ever done for a magazine interview with Revolt in Style. I'll be posting everything on my site, of course, of course, of course.

[ December 26th, 2005 ] Happy Holidays everyone! I hope all is well and joyous. I'll be back to work this week and am looking forward to posting lots of new works including some new pastels and a whole collection of new belt buckles I just designed for Buckle Down. In other news, I've begun some new tshirt designs for apb as well as a couple other companies and I'll post them right here when they're finished.

[ November 14th, 2005 ] I just posted new pastel works in the pastels section here: Pastels These new pieces will be part of a large gallery showing of my pastel works which will be touring locations starting last night where they were on display at The Yoga Hut for their Shakti Rising fund raiser. I'll post more info of their showings as these events happen. Keep checking the pastels section for the next couple of weeks as I will be adding many new pieces.

[ August 25th, 2005 ] I'm currently busy designing skateboard deck art for FO. I'll be posting the graphics as I finish them. Aside from that, new shirts will be available next week from APB. This is a busy time of year for me and I'm stoked to have so many opportunities.

[ August 25th, 2005 ] It's that time again. The MAGIC Convention happens in Las Vegas next week. I'll be there along with APB sourcing new products and making valuable connections. There should also be quite a bit of my work represented by Buckle Down - a belt company out of New York and Los Angeles.

Along with MAGIC there's also a lot going on in the art world for me. I've done some custom chalk art pieces, which I'll post as soon as I can along with several new shirt designs for the multi-faceted company Zero Paid. I'm currently working on a large graphics package for the new extreme sports accessories company out of Tahoe called Full-Out, and more shirt designs for the international company Islesurf.

One important piece of news is The Grand Re-Opening of the APB Store online. Our newly re-designed store is up with tons of new gear as well as a fresh new look. Check it out here.

[ July 23rd, 2005 ] Many apologies for my lack of news postings lately. It's not that there's no news to report, I'm just too busy at the moment to report it. I can however post this latest little nugget:

APB was well representd on HBO's Entourage last week! Very nice.

[ May 18th, 2005 ] I'll be re-designing this site soon. I must change my setup to include an online store. I'll be selling prints, tshirts, photos, and other art related items. I'll also be setting up more pages within the site as my interests expand. I'll be including a photography, painting, and murals section as well as separating the album covers from the concert posters. I've been getting seriously in to photography lately and I'm looking forward to sharing more art with everyone. Thanks for all your support.

[ May 4th, 2005 ] I've been writing some new music I'm excited about. I'll be looking in to playing shows again in early fall. Thanks to everyone for your support. This is going to be a fun year for me I know it. :-)

[ April 21st, 2005 ] APB finally has a Myspace page. Sign up and and add APB to your friends to become eligible for huge discounts and coupons for shopping the giant APB online store. Also this week I'm designing the menu boards in chalk for the cafe Encore within the Lamb's Players Theater in Coronado. Their recent play: Metamorphoses has received raved reviews from publications as big as Time Magazine.

[ April 10th, 2005 ] I will be printing limited edition silkscreened posters of my art on 150 lb. Acid Free Archival Tag. The prints will be signed and numbered and will be available for purchase within a couple weeks. I'll post info once they're available and payments can be made safely and securely through Paypal.

[ April 8th, 2005 ] Devices has disbanded due to personal differences.

Jeremy Brown (Drums) is working on his project "The Big Promotion"

Gus (Bass) has rejoined Thicker Than Thieves and is touring with them this spring.

Asher (Vocals, Guitar) is working on a recording project called Godzai to be released summer 2005

My news section will be constantly updated with all of my projects audio and visual.

[ April 1st, 2005 ] I've been extremely busy this past couple weeks finishing up the new tshirt line for APB. The following are going to print: Bling Pig, Gasman, Pee Chee, Pez Dispensor, Pig Man, and UALBANY Fountain Day.

[ March 8th, 2005 ] I've uploaded some new APB tshirt designs to my Concepts page.

[ March 2nd, 2005 ] My Tiffany's Heart Grenade illustration is getting some press again for the second time this month along with The Kid, World Grenade, and Bush/Kerry Puppet designs. They are featured along with a two-page article on my art mainly focused on my pastel work in the new SDMusicmatters Magazine distributed to all of Southern California. You can read the article here: SDMM March 2005 article - Tyler Jordan

[ February 28th, 2005 ] Thanks to all who who came out to the Devices show Friday. I deeply apologize for the sudden change in our set time.

[ February 21st, 2005 ] Damn. Today really sucks.

Hunter S. Thompson 1939-2005

Thanks Hunter for writing political journalism that even I could read. Thanks for your stories about the initiation of Ralph Steadman at The Kentucky Derby, talking sports with President Nixon, and Fear and Loathing at The Super Bowl. Thanks for writing about the Hells Angels so we could better understand these bastards and almost getting killed for it. Thanks for uncovering truths about the terrible way things were for many peoples from Chicanos to the Brazilian Mob and the stinky, putrid ways of politicians then and now. You identified with them and could easily explain the most repulsive characters right in to making us love them.

Thanks for risking your ass and taking your life to the absolute limit. All this seemed to come naturally to you.

You made me laugh. You made me laugh a heck of a lot, and now you make me cry.

You bastard.

[ February 18th, 2005 ] The MAGIC Clothing Convention was a great success for APB and myself this winter. We were represented this year by two companies: Band Merch and Buckle Down. One of my designs, The Tiffany's Heart Grenade, was featured in Women's Wear Daily in the form of a rock star belt by Buckle Down. Here's some pics:

[ February 14th, 2005 ] The MAGIC Convention is underway once again in Vegas and I'll be flying out to team up with APB, Buckle Down, and Band Merch at the Las Vegas Convention Center. MAGIC is one of my favorite events of the year. So much to take in. Plus I'm looking forward to hopefully taking some money from those blackjack dealers. I'll be back later this week.

[ February 7th, 2005 ] I came across an old webcam movie of me creating a pastel piece for a friend. This was the creation of Serenity which can be viewed in the pastels section of the site. The creation of this art was broadcast live on the internet. (hence me waving at the camera like an idiot) The webmaster couldn't just let me draw. The bastard! I will be hosting some live clips within the next few months as I broadcast the creation of future pastel pieces.

[ January 31st, 2005 ] Here's a picture of the first board in a series of twenty-six for the Farmers Market in downtown San Diego. It is soft pastel chalk and measures 8'x4'. Many more to come...

[ January 25th, 2005 ] So much going on right now. The Farmers Market project is underway. The MAGIC Clothing Convention is coming up in February in Vegas, and Devices will be playing five shows before the 25th of next month including a benefit for the tsunami victims in Asia. Devices play at Blind Melons in Pacific Beach, Ca. tomorrow night. The show starts at 9PM.

I'm currently retrieving some files from an old computer. One of them is a short story I was working on a couple years ago called The Conduit. I will resume the writing process now that I've had time to digest it. The Conduit is meant to be a short animated film about an operator for thought living in a microcosmic world of telepathic beings. This project stirred up quite a bit of excitement as it progressed and I'm looking forward to finishing it up.

The Conduit

[ December 27th, 2004 ] I've just started work on a large 160'x4' pastel illustration for the huge farmers market on Imperial Ave. in downtown San Diego. The illustration will be made up of twenty 8'x4' sections combined to make a panoramic scene of a mexican village and will be hanging angled above shoppers in the grocery store. I'll post photos of the process and the completion of the project when I can.

[ December 24th, 2004 ] HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE! I will be selling t-shirts with my art on them soon. Everything from pastels to pencil drawings and paintings. I'll be setting up a Paypal account so purchasing them online will be easy and secure.

[ December 15th, 2004 ] I'll be representing APB at Ohio State January 9th - 15th setting up college rep programs and selling some hot new gear. For more info send me an email.

[ December 14th, 2004 ] PODzu, a company specializing in iPOD accessories has hired me to design their logo. I'll post my work in in the logos section when I'm finished along with a link to their products.

[ December 11th, 2004 ] I've made it possible to order APB Tshirts, Hoodies, Caps, and Belts with my designs on them by clicking on the "BUY NOW" icon located beneath the designs that are currently in stock. If you want to check out the entire catalog now you can click on the icon here:

[ December 9th, 2004 ]

REST IN PEACE DIME.

You were and always will be a HUGE inspiration to me as a guitarist.

[ December 6th, 2004 ] The South Central Los Angeles Community Center project has begun and I'll have some mock-ups uploaded to the site soon. I went up yesterday to check out the site and met Melvin, who's putting the project together. It's very refreshing to meet a thirty year old interested in helping the community and better yet providing a safe place for children who always have an opportunity to get involved in negative activities. The center will include a classroom for teaching film and video editing, a restaurant, a stage for spoken word or musical acts, a movie screen and projector, a barbershop, and a retail clothing store. It's a great community beautification project that will offer locals a place to go take in some great culture as well as catch up on the latest gossip. I'm proud to be a part of this project.

[ December 4th, 2004 ] Devices will be playing with Big Dame Hunters for a birthday bash for Brian of Melons and myself Wednesday, December 8th at Blind Melons in Pacific Beach. I'm looking forward to this drunken celebration especially since I'm sharing it with Brian. The guy knows how to party.

[ November 30th, 2004 ] While visiting my mother for Thanksgiving I came across my very first oil painting.

My First Oil Painting - 7th Grade

[ November 23rd, 2004 ] Happy Thanksgiving Everyone.

[ November 23rd, 2004 ] Devices will be playing with Wick for the Cartel Clothing Party tomorrow night at Blind Melons in Pacific Beach. We're happy to finally play with the (Real) Wick. It should be a fun show. Cartel always puts on a good party. Devices play at 10 PM.

[ November 15th, 2004 ] I've been selected to draw a rendering for the new Community Center for South Central Los Angeles. I'll be posting more on this project soon.

[ November 14th, 2004 ] I'll be heading back to the East Coast for another APB College tour December 9th - 19th. I'll be stopping at UMASS Amhearst, Boston University, and Northeastern College to represent APB and set up college rep programs. I'll post a schedule when I have it.

In other news... Congrats to Dave G and Leah on their engagement to be married. I can speak for everyone when I say "It's about time."

Oh yeah.... The messageboard now has an ARCADE!!! Special thanks to Constance for hookin' it up. Signup and play at your heart's content here: Messageboard

[ November 3rd, 2004 ] I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all you rural states for voting Bush back in to office for another four years. Thanks so much! That's four more years of those pesky Bush Gardens APB shirts you scoff at. Four more years of worldwide hatred toward the US. Four more years of rising gas prices. Four more years of comedy and horror. Woo Hoo! ...and now I no longer have to worry about inspiration from the white house. I'll apologize no more for any satire within this site. You've now given me complete permission to draw at my heart's content. :-)

[ October 25th, 2004 ] Congratulations to Boston for their World Series sweep. Now all those grandparents can rest in peace.

[ October 25th, 2004 ] Devices will be playing a benefit show to raise money for our friend Renee Airya who was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor. She was lucky enough to find a doctor who'd perform the surgery needed to remove it, but Renee has no health insurance. We hope the show will raise some money to help and we'll be selling raffle tickets for skateboards from Dregs, clothing from APB and Sik World, videos, clothing, and decks from Transworld, and much, much, more. All the proceeds will be going to Renee's medical expenses. The following bands will be playing the show: Big Dame Hunter, The Empire State, FOIL, Lloyd Bright, and Decompression. Devices will be playing a set of ir songs during their set.

for more info on Renee Airya visit: reneeairya.org

In other news, I just found out I'm an uncle! Congrats to my brother Sean and his wife Tina on the delivery of their new baby girl!

[ October 20th, 2004 ] I've posted some photos of the APB Northeast Tour. They can be viewed here: Photos

[ October 20th, 2004 ] The East Coast was a HUGE success for APB. I'll be going back out there a couple times a year to see how things are going. I met some really cool people and saw some old friends. I'll be posting photos of the trip over the next couple days. I have some good ones. It's great to be home.

[ September 27th, 2004 ] I'll be in Boston and New York setting up college programs for APB until the 16th of October. All large job submissions must wait until then. I will be forwarding my mail though and will be able to tackle small jobs while out there. Take care everyone!

[ September 27th, 2004 ] Thanks to all who came out for the Devices Video Shoot last night at 'Canes. Many thanks are owed and deserved for last night. Special thanks to Sik World and APB for their huge support and lot's of giveaways for the people. Thanks to Dub Saints, Decompression, Mower, and Divided By Zero for their continued support. Thanks to all our North County friends for making the drive. Thanks to Belligerent Intoxicated Products. Thanks to Sulo and Dave from Brick By Brick. Thanks to Puck from The Real World San Fran for rocking out in the front for Devices. Thanks to Spook for the photography. Thanks to Rockin' Johnny White, and a very BIG thank you to Metal Kitten, Blue Moon Productions, and Lance for the awesome video footage! It'll take a little while to edit this monster, but it'll be well worth it from what I've seen already. We got some GREAT footage! Oh, and thank you Brian. You ROCK!

[ September 27th, 2004 ] I've been hearing a lot of requests to post my "This Little Piggy" comic strip lately. The strip was made a couple years ago to illustrate the advantages to APB's pants with secret pockets. Here it is in all it's glory:

Click in the above image to view the comic

[ September 20th, 2004 ] I will be representing APB in Boston and Manhattan in October for our annual college program. Any college students interested in representing APB at their school should contact Eitan. The products and concepts represented in the APB line are tremendously popular among the college crowd and healthy commissions can be made. I'm looking forward to introducing our new line and speaking with our friends on the east coast. We will also set up booths with products to sell at some local rock shows in Boston. I'll post which colleges we'll be visiting and when we'll be there as soon as I have the info.

It turns out that the band Wick who's playing with us on the 30th of September is a fake. After speaking with Wick out of appreciation for finally sharing the stage with them I found out that it's a new band who has stolen their name and isn't backing off. For those of you who don't know: Wick is one of the few good bands in San Diego who's managed to stick around for a long time. They were formed in 1996. The real Wick will be attending the show.

The (Real) Wick

[ September 13th, 2004 ] Brian Sheerin from Mower will be in the studio tonight with Devices to record vocals on our new single: Freedom?. We will also be recording a live video of the song at Canes Bar and Grill on Thursday, September 30th.

Brian Sheerin w/ Mower

I'm almost finished with the CD art for the new Devices Album. I'll post it as soon as it's finished.

I'll be heading out to the east coast with APB October 1st through October 16th to establish representatives for the line at the colleges in New England for the first semester. I'm looking forward to seeing our many friends who've given so much support in the Boston area.

[ September 7th, 2004 ] The MAGIC Clothing Convention was a success for APB and for myself. We had quite a bit of attention due to our vast catalog of products and designs and I was able to pick up a few big clients as well for illustration work and graphic design. I was no slouch at the blackjack tables either coming home with more money than I started with.

In other news Devices will be sharing the stage Friday night with personal favorites DfRost, Malachi Crunch, and Dub Saints. There will again be a Transworld Magazine video premiere that night and it all kicks off at 9 PM. Devices play at 10 PM. The show is at Blind Melons 710 Garnet Ave. Pacific Beach, CA.

Mr. Dan Frost

[ August 30th, 2004 ] I'm off to represent APB in Vegas for the MAGIC Clothing Convention. I'll be flying home on Thursday. Devices will be playing a sneaky little gig at Blind Melons in Pacific Beach Thursday night for the Transworld Snowboarding Magazine Video Premiere with Futyle. We play at 9 PM.

[ August 22nd, 2004 ] I've been doing more work for Apple based on the success of my last illustration work on the design concepts for the new Apple iPod motorized display cylinders for Apple Stores. I'll now be designing displays with interchangable parts. I'll post the illustrations as soon as I can (hopefully) get them to allow it.

I'm currently finishing the mock-up for a new mural project I'll be working on next month. I'll be painting La Jolla Cove on the outside wall of a residence in La Jolla. The painting will be done in impressionism and will be a view of the cove from above Scripps Pier.

I'll be flying to Vegas next week to represent APB at the MAGIC Clothing Convention. If you are attending the convention and you spot me, stop and say hi. I'll be pretty easy to spot since there aren't too many mohawks at MAGIC. APB will have the largest catalog to date for the convention; offering nearly 150 different t-shirt designs as well as the full line of clothing and accessories.

[ August 7th, 2004 ] The San Diego music community suffered a huge loss this morning. Paulette Valenzuela, the singer of the metal band The Abuse died this morning when she was shot by someone at her apartment at about 4 AM. Her untimely death has sent shockwaves through the community while the suspect remains at large. Paulette organized Milk Money; a benefit for breast cancer as well as being an icon for San Diego rock. I can't believe anyone would do such a thing to a sweet girl who meant so much to everyone. We will all miss you Paulette! We hope justice is served.

Paulette Valenzuela Rest In Peace

Justice has been served. Well at least the guy's been caught as he had left the country and was hiding out in Rosarito, Mexico. He is being held in San Diego on one count of first degree murder and two counts of robbery. He'll have a lot of time to think about the fact that he murdered someone over a steak he attempted to steal from her freezer.

***************************************************************************************

[ August 3rd, 2004 ] Thanks to everyone who made it out for Asher and Gus's birthday show! We had a blast! The following pictures were taken by Spook of Divided By Zero.

[ July 30th, 2004 ] I must take the time now to thank everyone who's believed in me and who's come to me over the past few months and up to this time for their personal art works. I am now the busiest I've ever been in my life and I wouldn't want anything else. Without you I wouldn't be here until all hours of the morning producing these pieces. Thank you!

Anthony and Mia behind the bar at Blind Melons

[ June 9th, 2004 ] My good friend and old roommate Brian just returned from Afghanistan for good allowing me to erase that worry from my mind. Seeing him again and hearing his stories of The Middle East as a Navy Seal reminded me of just how much of a trip that whole experience has to be for these guys. I must at this time explain to all without getting too into it that no matter what type of illustrative satire I produce involving politics, wars, or Bush and Kerry that these illustrations, these thoughts are 100% there for you to chew on and digest if you want to. Art is to make you think. That's it.

[ June 8th, 2004 ] I've always appreciated feedback from everyone concerning this site and it's contents and I've been fortunate enough to have people let me know when links don't work or if images only partially load. Please let me know if you ever experience problems with the site so I can fix them right away or if you have any general comments or questions. Let me know here.

[ June 7th, 2004 ] I will be in New York City August 30th through September 2nd to represent APB at The Republican National Convention. I will be selling shirts with various political satire at Madison Square Garden and on the streets of the city. Anyone in the NYC area interested in some of my illustration works or in any APB gear can email me here: email or you can visit the APB site here: APB I will be bringing out a lot of new works for this event.

[ June 1st, 2004 ] Devices will be in the studio tomorrow recording the vocal tracks of our new EP. Only a couple more sessions remain!! In other news, I've recently designed a conveyer belt system for retail displays for Apple to be used in Apple Stores around the world. I'll post images when I can.

[ April 28th, 2004 ] I grabbed these stills off the net. These are from our last show at Blind Melons in San Diego. For video visit sdmusicmatters.

[ April 17th, 2004 ] Tons of new work will be posted on this site soon! In other news, Devices will be playing a FREE show this Wednesday at The Sandbar in Mission Beach.

[ April 9th, 2004 ] I'm currently slammed with work. I know it will come to an end somewhere down the line, but I can't see it yet. I'm just glad to finally have the time to finish these projects. It could most definitely be worse.

[ March 28th, 2004 ] Devices will be in the studio tomorrow. It will most likely take two more sessions to complete our new 6 song demo. Sign up on the Devices Message Board here: Devices Message Board to reserve a free copy.

[ March 22nd, 2004 ] Re: The new Devices Message Board located at: Devices Message Board
